About David Lega test

David Lega is a Swedish politician, human rights advocate, and former Paralympic swimmer, whose career spans from athletics to entrepreneurship and politics.

David’s journey began as a Paralympic athlete, where he set 14 world records and won numerous world championship medals in swimming. His athletic achievements earned him international recognition, including the Triumph of the Human Spirit award at the 1996 Paralympics.

After retiring from sports, David shifted to entrepreneurship and public speaking, leading ventures across industries such as mobile technology and fashion. In 2004, he was named The Outstanding Young Person of the World, joining the ranks of leaders like John F. Kennedy and Orson Welles.

His political career includes serving as Deputy Mayor of Gothenburg and a Member of the European Parliament, where he worked extensively on foreign affairs, human rights, and children’s rights. A passionate advocate for Israel, he chairs the Abraham Accords Network and co-leads efforts to combat online antisemitism.

Currently serving as the Senior Adviser for the European Jewish Association (EJA) in the Scandinavian region, David focuses on combating antisemitism and fostering strong Jewish communities in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland.

David is committed to giving back to society, both in Sweden and internationally, using his diverse experiences to make a positive impact wherever he can.
